It was very sad. There are many people who have said (on other blogs) that it was "just a dog". That's not the case for Mr. Machin or myself. Dogs are best friends...family. I have spent more money on my family's Chihuahua mix than I have on most girlfriends I've had (with the exception of my current girlfriend-turned-fiancee). It sounds like a freak accident with a hint of negligence on the street sweeper's part. Ginger has made it to rainbow bridge, and may we all take a moment to think about her and what she meant in Mr. Machin's life.
